How early is early Ahren? I have a … prior engagement to attend to.

but the council votes a Queen, unless she is of our race - which she clearly isn’t.
Think on that brother.

I expect the damage report on my desk, asap.
My apologies, your highness, I am over stepped my boundaries and for that I am sorry. I understand that you are my superior and I will do, as a good subordinate, as I am told and will give you no trouble. But I am afraid that I cannot give you what you ask for, respect, for you refuse to give it to me. For that I apologize too

The manual was written in scientific language, far more advanced than what she was familiar with. A door was left ajar and all she noted was two figures with heads tilted in close proximity. Thinking he’d heard another pair of footsteps, he rushed Cassandra to sign. “You’ve agreed, just sign the paper. You get what you want, and I’ll get what I want.”

A ruler must be ruthless yes, but a ruler must also have the people to back him up for a ruler is nothing with out his people. And don’t confuse respect with fear they are totally different and if someone as naive as me knows that then you should too, your highness.
My people are behind me. I’ve got an army that someone has yet to rival. Your people are the spoils of war, nothing but slaves thrown away to work for a master or in a brothel. But I will be kind enough to warn you. You might have been the princess of Shadi, but you are a slave here and will treat your superiors with respect.
